hiip's COVID-19 Response

You Guys! It's been a bit since we've last connected, hasn't it? Four years to be exact... Four years! So much has happened in that time and quite a bit is happening now. 

TL;DR: Until we run out of bags, we'll be selling each for $35. A kit of necessities will still be given to our friends without homes on the streets of San Francisco (we've never really been ones to shy away from the overwhelming, have we?) AND we will be donating 100% of profits to the following small businesses throughout the US and a New York underserved hospital:

  3. The Lunch Room, LLC, Ann Arbor, MI
  4. Goodnight Hospitality, Houston, TX
  5. Brookedale Hospital, Brooklyn, NY

Though hiip has been on hiatus, we have a remaining inventory of my favorite styles and colors. And now, our world has stopped, our cities have shut down, and people have lost work. And they will be out of work for the foreseeable future. We are facing a huge and overwhelming global crisis. When I think of dipping my toe in to help, I almost become paralyzed. It's too much. But I think to myself, I just need to pick my starfish and that's all I can do. We just need to focus on our starfish. 

So here's where you come in: JOIN US. If you've ever wanted a bag, the time is now! They're super inexpensive and all sewn right here in San Francisco. Send one to your cousin, sister, BFF, aunt, mom, your worst enemy, YOURSELF for the love, just support the cause. This is an easy way to be involved AND get something cute in return.

And here's what I want to say to our starfish and the staff at each: You are seen. You are not forgotten. You are cared for. And we are going to stand with you. Right now, in this moment, what we have is yours to share.
