What steps are you taking to ensure safety in storage and shipping?
Our fanny packs are stored safely in a temperature-controlled storage space without external access. When a hiip is ordered, the shipping team hand selects the bag and brings it directly to the shipping area for packaging. We steam each hiip to ensure germs are killed and the bag is in perfect shape to leave our warehouse. Once completed, the bag is immediately packaged and sealed. 


How do you ship and how long will my order take to get to me?
All orders are sent via USPS and generally take between one and three days depending on location (one day for West Coast, two days for Central U.S., and three days for East Coast). Once shipped, you will receive a confirmation email including your shipment tracking number.

This means hiip does indeed ship to to P.O. Boxes and Military APO/FPO addresses.

How much does shipping and handling cost?
We have have a $10 flat rate for USPS Priority shipping and handling on all orders per bag. Shipping costs for orders placed with an expedited shipping method will be calculated based on weight of package, shipping location, and other applicable taxes.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship via the USPS who utilizes various third-party vendors to deliver outside of the U.S. Shipping costs for orders placed for delivery outside of the Continental United States will be calculated based on weight of package, shipping location, and other applicable taxes.


Your bags are cute but how big are they? How will it look on my hip?
Each hiip fanny pack measures about 12" wide by 6" tall (when folded over) and each style can be worn three ways: around the waist (like a classic fanny pack), around the shoulder (like a messenger bag), and as a clutch (by removing the strap). The bags are nimble enough, as well, to form around the hip with the easily adjustable and extending strap. This ensures your bag lays flat against your side (depending on how much is in the bag).

How do I keep my hiip clean?
We've found machine washing your hiip fanny pack may cause fading and a bit of shrinking between fabric and liner so we recommend spot cleaning your bag to keep that hiip shape. Your vegan leather fanny pack can be wiped down with a damp cloth and mild disinfectant soap, making it a perfect travel bag!

Is hiip water resistant?
Our canvas and linen bags are not water resistant but our vegan leathers can be worn in the rain. Since they aren't waterproof, though, we don't recommend submerging them in water.


Can I change an order after I place it?
Absolutely! We tend to turn around shipping our fanny packs the same day so you'll need to catch us quickly! Shoot an email directly to our team at and let us know the bag you'd like to receive if different from the one you ordered. We will update in our system and send a follow-up confirmation email as soon as the change has been made.

I would like to return my new hiip fanny pack. What should I do?
Currently, all sales are final on our reduced priced fanny packs. 

My fanny pack is ripped, broken, or defective. Do you do repairs?
We do our best to ensure the quality of each belt bag before it gets to you but, if something is amiss, we'll send you another fanny pack free of charge once we receive the defective bag back. If your item shows up damaged or defective, email us at as soon as possible and we will make every effort to replace your fanny pack immediately and to your satisfaction.

I would like to exchange an item. What should I do?
Currently, all sales are final on our reduced priced fanny packs.


Do you offer gift receipts?
At this time we don't have an option for gift receipts but suggest purchasing a Gift Card for a special someone whose color or pattern is up in the air!

I like to shop local. Where are your bags manufactured?
Each hiip is cut, assembled, and sewn right here in San Francisco. Your fanny pack is designed in the U.S. and many of our styles are made with fabric also made in the United States.
